The course focuses on characteristic features of professional business communication. It provides students with the relevant specialist language and professional communication skills they will need in the workplace.

Learning outcomes of the course unit
The course at the upper-intermediate level (B2 according to CEFR) is designed to prepare students for various economic professions. It will enrich their professional vocabulary and enable them to express themselves more authoritatively in professional contexts.
Prerequisites
English exam at intermediate level as minimum (B1 according to CEFR).

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The course it taught by means of language lessons focused on practicing language skills and developing vocabulary. Individual work of students is also required.

The course has a practical approach and is intended for pre-service students preparing for work in a business environment.
Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences
The content and forms of instruction in the evaluated course are specified by a regulation issued by the lecturer responsible for the course and updated for every academic year.
Students’ participation at seminars is compulsory and their work is systematically controlled. Absence may be compensated for by the agreement with the teacher.
