The course is intended to teach German as the second foreign language at general level. It is focused on practical, everyday communication for the international workplace.
Learning outcomes of the course unit
Students will be made familiar with general vocabulary for the workplace and grammar at intermediate as needed for everyday communication.
The course is intended for students with language knowledge and skills at pre-intermediate level (A2 CEFR).

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The course it taught by means of language lessons focused on practicing language skills and developing vocabulary. It includes also individual work of students in the elearning environment.
Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes
Course-unit credit is awarded on condition of having attended the seminars actively and worked out all assigned tasks for self-study. Students have to pass a credit test reaching 50% points as minimum. The credit test has one regular term and two resits.

The aim of the course is to equip students with knowledge and skills at intermediate level that are necessary for real-life tasks, such as describing problems or giving instructions, that arise in a wide range of economic occupations.
Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences
Attendance at seminars is systematically checked by the teacher. Absence may be in justified cases compensated for by the agreement with the teacher.
