Learning outcomes of the course unit

Knowledge of current technology for web page creation. Ability to create quality web presentation regarding a proper information and navigational structure design, suitable technology and accessibility for different groups of users.

Prerequisites

Basic knowledge of the WWW and basic text editing skills.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

The course is taught through lectures explaining the basic principles and theory of the discipline. Exercises are focused on practical topics presented in lectures.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Two tests during the semester (20 + 20 points)
Two individual projects (20 + 40 points)

It is necessary to obtain at least 50 points during the semester.

Aims

To obtain knowledge necessary for creating quality WWW presentations. To get a general overview of current technology and trends. Knowledge of various aspect of the presentation creation - navigational structure, accessibility, optimization.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

Creating two individual projects during the semester submitted to a specified deadline. The projects can be created as a part of the laboratory exercises or individually.
