Process Management

The course provides information about process modelling, analysis of processes, their optimisation and management. The course also addresses the problem of IS/IT support of process management. Introduces the architecture of process maps. It also informs on the links to the organizational structure of the business entity.

Students will learn how to analyse problems. They will master the method of approaching the problem of optimisation and management of company processes.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of management of production and non-production companies. Basic knowledge of information technology products. Logical thinking.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures will be proceeded with using of didactical technique by using Power Pointe.
Seminars will take place as well as computational laboratory for the use of the products Aris and Enterprise Architect.
Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes
In order to be awarded the credit, it is mandatory to prepare all assigned case studies assigned in the exercise, including two individual individual tasks.
The exam is conducted in the form of an oral exam - open questions. The final evaluation will take into account the student's work throughout the semester and the individual tasks.
Conditions for students with an individual study plan: credit is awarded for the elaboration of individually assigned case studies and one individual task. The exam is conducted in the form of an oral exam - open questions and presentation of an independently prepared task.

Aims
The objective of the course is to make students familiar with analyse, design and management of processes to achieve high efficiency and fullfiled quality requirements.
Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences
Attendance at lectures is recommended but is necessery for prepare to seminars. Attendance at seminars is compulsory and controlled. Absence from seminars can be compensated for via consultations with the tutor.
