Integration of information systems using post-relational database platforms

Learning outcomes of the course unit The subject acquaints students with the problems of integration of several information systems using the Intersystems platform - the Caché object database and the Ensemble superstructure. The course focuses on the practical handling of these products as tools for the integration of enterprise information systems. Students will get acquainted with the basics of object databases, system logic and practical solutions.
Learning outcomes of the course unit
Students will understand the issue of integrating more information systems. I will be able to analyze the problem and create the concept of system interconnection. They will learn to design Ensemble applications that can process input data from multiple sources. They will have the ability to practically solve the tasks of interconnecting multiple systems.
The student must know the basics of data and functional modeling, the basics of relational databases and work with them.

Learning outcomes of the course unit The aim of the course is to teach the students to understand the interconnection of information systems at company level or between them based on the metasystem. They will acquire basic theoretical and practical knowledge in this field.
Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences
During the course the students prepare the assigned task, which they present at the end. Work on the project is continuously consulted and controlled.
