Studio II - Game Media - summer

The course introduces students to a game-book form. It opens the creation of a complex text structure encapsulated in a game-book form, digital or physical output. The content and final processing is individual. In the context of the visual solution, it reflects the ability of students to adapt to the output that communicates primarily in the graphic and typographic plane. During the development of the gamebook students learn about the different types of scripts, their practical advantages, shortcomings and risks. Within the technological background, they learn digitally to process "mind-maps" (mind-maps) and to develop linear and non-linear game structures through interactive nodal points.

Learning outcomes of the course unit
The acquired knowledge enables students to control the creation of digital thought maps and to work with text within creative writing. They are also familiar with the use of digital games. In the production plane, they are able to design and implement the author's game-book.
Prerequisites
Experience with multi-level creative writing. Realization of a periodic modular autobiographical text.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Students are led to realize individual or collective exercises and tasks. They continuously improve their technical and theoretical knowledge in the field. They are actively discussing and presenting their work results in the atelier field. In complementary activities, he participates in thematic exhibitions, excursions, festivals and lectures.
Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes
To award the credit, it is necessary to submit partial studio assignments and collective or individual semester work. Subsequently, before the committee, he / she defends the results of the semester examination.

Aims
Students can process the story in the form of a gamebook and digitally create thought mind-maps.
Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences
Presentation and submission of semestral studio works and exercises. Consultation, participation in teaching and studios is obligatory.
