Advanced bioanalytical methods

By disscusions and consultations, students will be familiarized with advanced analytical techniques employed for analysis of biological samples. The focus will be on preparative and analytical separation techniques, advanced spectroscopic techniques, immunochemical methods, molecular techniques, bioinformatics, genetics, transcriptomics, proteomics and metabolomics.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Extending theoretical knowledge of selected procedures used in the analysis of biological systems, in the evaluation of biochemical technological processes and in other sectors working with material of biological nature.

Bioinformatic analysis, application of genotypic techniques, polyphasic approach.
Analysis of gene expression.
Analysis of non-culturable microrganisms using metagenomics
Single cell analysisi and manipulation
Advanced spectroscopical techniques for analysis of biological samples
Advanced chromatography and electrophoresis for analysis of biological materials
Preparation, isolation, pufrification and characterization of proteins.
Utilization of advanced fluorescent techniques for analysis of biological samples
Analytical imunochemistry
Genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics
