Architectural Space

The subject develops knowledge in the field of architectural space theory. The student will learn the theoretical and practical approaches to creating the architectural space. The output of this subject is an individually assigned seminar work, processing selected spatial aspects with a link to the individual dissertation.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

The student will acquire theoretical knowledge of the spatial aspects of the selected architectural type of building, and will build on the proven theory of architectural spatial solution. The output of this subject is an individually assigned seminar work, processing selected spatial aspects with a link to the individual dissertation.

Prerequisites

Students will be expected to have knowledge of basic spatial theories and concepts of architectural design at the level of university graduate in the field of architecture. The ability to read English-written texts and the use electronic information resources is also expected.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Teaching methods depend on the type of course unit as specified in the article 7 of BUT Rules for Studies and Examinations.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Credit is awarded based on the final presentation of the semester project.
