Students will learn the basics of social science approach to the problem of space and architecture. They will be able to think critically about their own design practice. They will be able to find relevant data as a basis for project preparation. They will be able to consider the relevance of resources.

Knowledge of the main urban development processes, interest in extending the knowledge of relating disciplines, ability to orientate oneself in foreign-language (primarily English)
texts.

Thematic lectures in six two-hour blocks.
Teaching will be realized in the form of classical lectures for which the study literature will be listed.

The test takes the form of an electronic home test with 20 closed questions through MOODLE e-learning based on the content of lectures and compulsory literature. The total number of points is 100, the minimum number of points for passing the course is 60.

The aim of the course is to acquaint students with basic knowledge that they will be able to actively use in their architectural and urban practice, so that they are able to think critically about the consequences of their work and at the same time creatively prevent possible forms of disadvantage that space can put in front of its users.
