Hi Tech Painting 1

FaVU-HITECH1Acad. year: 2019/2020

The history of painting can be understood not only as a sequence of personalities and ideas, but also as a history of (painting) technologies. It should also be borne in mind that painting comes under the general category of image, which includes not only painting, but also sculpture, photography, cinematography, digital painting, etc. The course is based on a critical approach to painting - the course concept implies thinking about painting not only as a means of pictorial narration or communicating emotions, but also as an autonomous object - the material deposited on the surface, the matter, the location in space. The course is designed to introduce students to the current state of advanced technologies used in painting, both through lectures, excursions and meetings with selected personalities as well as through controlled discussions and practical assignments.
