Learning outcomes of the course unit

After graduating student will be able to design usual plumbing systems instalations.

Prerequisites

Basic knowledge about construction systems of building (Civil ingeneering). Construction of basements, walls and roofs. Basic knowledge of hydraulic.

Course curriculum

I. Sanitary drainage - purpose of sanitary drainage, plumbing fixtures, characteristic of waste waters, designing and sizing of sanitary drainage systems and storm water drainage systems, sewer mains and fixtures on sewer mains, hose sewer conections, sanitary drainage systems - division of draining systems, fundametals of dimensioning drainage systems, appliation of drainage systems, sewers systems.

II. Water supply systems, purpose of water supply system, water service pipe, requirements of the water sypply systems, division of water sypply sytems, materials using in water supply sytems, preparation and distribution of domestic hot water, fire water system, design of water supply system, presure boosting.

III. Gas installation for buildings, gas fuelling, gas equipment, gas connections, partst of gas installation for buildings, material of gas installations, design of gas installation for buildings

Aims

Students will be able to design sanitary and storm water drainage systems, water supply systems and gas installations in all types of buildings. They achieve solving of water service pipes.
