Physics II

FAST-BD2Acad. year: 2019/2020

Hydromechanics - Pascal’s law, hydrostatic pressure, Archimede’s law, surface tension, equation of continuity, theorem on momentum of flowing liquids, Bernoulli’s equation, motion of real liquids.

Mechanical oscillations – linear harmonic oscillator, natural harmonic oscillations, physical pendulum, energy of harmonic oscillations, dumped oscillations, forced oscillations, coupling of oscillations.

Mechanical waves – displacement equation, wave equation, velocity and intensity of waves, interference of waves, standing waves, Dopler’s principle.

Acoustics – basic acoustic quantities, subjective strength of sound, room acoustics, transmissivity and attenuation of walls, reverberation time.

Aims

Basic physical knowledge of hydrodynamics, oscillation, elastic waves and acoustics. Creation of a fundamentals for the special subjects: building thermal technology and building acoustics.
