Learning outcomes of the course unit

Student is oriented in fundamental principles and problems of engineering geodesy, masters the methodology of setting out accuracy analysis of basic geometrical quantities, and also masters the methodology for setting out two dimensional accuracy analysis of horizontal position parameters.

Prerequisites

Fundamental knowledge of methods of mathematical analysis. Orientation in principles of theory of errors.

1. Overview of historical development. Principles of engineering geodesy. Fundamental terminology.
2. Geometrical accuracy of structures and constructions, design principles.
3. Methodology of accuracy analysis.
4. Setting out of distances, accuracy analysis.
5. Setting out of angles, accuracy analysis.
6. Setting out of heights, accuracy analysis.
7. Setting out of lines and planes.
8. Basic practical horizontal and vertical setting out surveys.
9. Methodology of check measurements.
10. Setting out of horizontal position, methodology of accuracy analysis.
11. Setting out of horizontal position, accuracy analysis 1.
12. Setting out of horizontal position, accuracy analysis 2.
13. Setting out of horizontal position, accuracy analysis 3.

Acquaintance with fundamental principles and problems of engineering geodesy. Mastering of methodology for setting out accuracy analysis of basic geometrical quantities. Mastering of methodology for setting two dimensional accuracy analysis of horizontal position parameters.
