Basics of Digital Video for Exchange Students

Practically oriented course, dealing with the computer processing of video recordings and emphasizing the development of compositional and creative abilities of students. In the course, the individual approach is prefered, as well as the the teacher´s help with the solution of students´ particular problems in the area of digital video.

Aims

Smooth mastering of the basic chain of video-picture processing with the help of contemporary computer technologies: editing in the most used programmes (FinalCut Pro, Premiere Pro), preparation of graphics for films (Photoshop, Illustrator), sound processing (SoundForge, Wavelab, Cubase, Nuendo), finalisation of the whole project in the most required outputs, preparatin for mastering DVDs (ReelDVD, Scenarist, Encore) and embedding of picture material on the internet (Cleaner, ProCoder, RealNetworks, Quicktime).

Lectures are optional (after the individual agreement and realisation of students´ own projects during the course).
