Communication Technology Seminar
FEKT-MPC-SKTAcad. year: 2020/2021
The student gain insight into the newest trends in the area of wireless and mobile communication systems. The first part of the course consists of a series of lectures, presented in English by specialists from the insdustry, abroad universities of from BUT. The content of the lectures is focused on mobile cellulal networks, signal processing, antennas and signal propagation. In the second part of the course, the task of the student is to present the contents and ideas of a selected scientific journal paper.

Learning outcomes of the course unit
The graduate of the course is able to: (a) understand a technical presentation given in English; (b) describe the principle of selected modern techniques used in communication systens; (c) understand the ideas behind a scientific journal paper; (d), prepare and defend a technical presentation in English.

Aims
The aim of the course is to (b) introduce the most recent techniques and trends in the area of wireless and mobile communication systems, (b) develop the students' ability of understanding technical text in English and (c) support their presentation skills.
