Learning outcomes of the course unit
The objective of the subject is to introduce students to the problems of database systems and geographical information systems and to practise acquires knowledge and skills. A student acquires skills in database systems and geographical information systems. At the same time, student will learn to perform advanced procedures for analysis of geographic data. This is especially the 3-D modeling, spatial analysis based on the method of map algebra and optimization of transport routes. The acquired knowledge and skills also include the creation of thematically-based geographic information systems (passport linear structures, spatial planning).
