Course detail

Special Insulations

FAST-BJ013Acad. year: 2018/2019

The contents is connected with preceding problems of building insulations and forms for interested persons an improvement of knowledge in studied problems. In the framework of the course special information will be presented concerning moisture propagation and defects of building structures caused by moisture effect on building materials. The application of building insulation in building objects includes the base for efficient use of insulations and it is connected with non-traditional utilization of energetic resources for heating of buildings and for the solution of buildings with low energy consumption.
The following tutorials have laboratory-, calculation- and partially design character.

Department

Institute of Technology of Building Materials and Components (THD)

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Results of subject education are knowledge from area of special insulation materials. Concrete it means thermal insulation materials, acoustic insulations, waterproofing materials, special insulations (new generation insulating materials, refractory insulation materials, and radiation proofing materials). Attend will be paid to problematic of insulation of building constructions (ETICS systems) as well as new thermal insulating materials (aerogels, vacuum insulations), insulation materials on natural and secondary row sources. One part will be focused on problematic of heat and moisture transfer. Student will get knowledge from area of fire protection of building construction.

Prerequisites

Knowledge of building materials production technology, building physic (heat and moisture transfer), insulation materials, basic knowledge of mathematic and physic, basic knowledge of insulation of construction.
