Law for Architects

FAST-TY02Acad. year: 2018/2019

The Czech Chamber of Architects, the profession graduates as certified architects engaged in construction, fields of certification and granting of certification, the competence of certified architects, association, ordinary partnership and limited company as a form of professional practise performed by independent architects in Czech Republic, professional practice performed by nationals of the European Union. Town and country planning, planning permission proceedings, building code. Authorized inspector, general content of examination for applicants for appointment as an authorized inspector.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

After completing the course students will gain an overview of law about graduates´ profession - architects engaged in construction. They will be familiar with the legislation in the field of construction law and especially with the Act on the Professional Practice of Certified Architects and on the Professional Practice of Certified Engineers and Technicians Active in Construction. The ways of conducting business by architects in associations, ordinary partnerships and limited companies will be discusssed. They will be familiar with the procedures of public procurement.

The course builds on the knowledge gained in the course Building Law.

The information will be passed on in the form of lectures.

Students will demonstrate knowledge of the topics in the form of a credit test.
