Introducing the theory of economy. Basic economical terms and relations supply and demand market formation. Financial markets – money market and capital market. Fundamentals of macroeconomic theory –macroeconomic outputs – equilibrium and economic growth – inflation and unemployment. Macroeconomic policy – economic policy, its tools and targets. Products and services market – consumer behaviour, theory of company. Market of production factors. International economical integration.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

To get fundamentals of microeconomics, macroeconomics and world economics. Student also acquires knowledge about behaviour of economic system, its tools, institutions and regularities.

Prerequisites

Knowledge of basic social sciences within the scope of secondary school level.

Co-requisites

The parallel knowledge of economic nature is not required.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

The course is taught through lectures and self-study assignments. Attendance at lectures is optional.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

The exam consists of a written test, written answers to questions and oral examination. For passing the oral exam, the student must obtain in the written part a minimum 50 points from 100.
