Forensic Engineering

The course is focused on getting familiar with forensics-expert activities, methods of its analysis, with methods of valuation of immovable and movable property, methods of determining the amount of damage on tangible property, and methodology of processing expert and forensic-expert opinion. A part of the course are also risky expert activities.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Teaching is carried out through lectures and seminars. Lectures consist of interpretations of basic principles, methodology of given discipline, problems and their exemplary solutions. Seminars particularly support practical mastery of subject matter presented in lectures or assigned for individual study with the active participation of students.

Exam:
Exam consists ofwritten and oral parts and classification will be given according to performance level of both parts. Classification of written test - percentage of wrong answers:
6/A, 12/B, 18/C, 24/D, 30/E

2. Systems approach of forensic-expert's report
3. System analysis
4. Matrix of hypothesis, matrix of traces, reflection matrix, correspondence of damage
5. Methods and ways to ensure the tracks and their documentation
6. Methods of expert and forensic-expert analysis
7. Analysis of action in time and space, the method of re-unwinding action, the method of narrowing the limits
8. Methods of valuation of tangible property for purposes of determining the amount of damage, the level of risk, and insurance
9. Realty valuation methods
10. Realty valuation methods
11. Methods of valuation of movable property
12. Methods for determining the amount of damage
13. Methodology of processing expert and forensic-expert opinion. Risks of expert activities.

Aims

The aim of the course is to introduce expert and forensic-expert activities, methods of forensic-expert analysis, methods of valuation of immovable and real property, methods of determining the amount of damage of tangible property and processing methodology of expert and forensic-expert opinion. A part of the course are also risky expert activities.
