Practical exercises in information networks

The subject is oriented to practical applications of passive and active nework components. Gives an overview of connector and cable types used in computer networks and an introduction to the prblematics of connectoring. The second part of the subject is oriented to basic types of active network components including installation and configuration of common network interfaces, hubs, switches and routers.

Learning outcomes of the course unit
With completion of the subject students acquire basic overview about passive and active network elements and about thier advantages and disadvantages. They also acquire practical experience incuding connectoring network cables and installation of network interfaces and components.

The subject knowledge on the secondary school education level is requested.
