Climate making factors, climate influence on development of relief, soil and vegetation. Weather. Water and its role in physical-geographic field. Karst areas and their development. Foundations of socio economic geography. Geographic incidence on Earth movement. Modern methods of geographic research. Summary regional geography of the world, continents and the Czech Republic. Geographic approach to creations of topographic and theme cartographic works.

Learning outcomes of the course unit
Students will manage theoretical basics of landscape sphere studies and their single components against background of ecology and environmental protection problems. They will refresh their region-geographic knowledge of single world continents and Czech republic as well in context of contemporary social and political situation.
Knowledge of geography on level of secondary school.
