Course detail

Waste Treatment and Recycling

FSI-KODAcad. year: 2017/2018

The course is focused on particular methods of municipal and industrial waste disposal and energy or material recovery. In the introductory part the student is acquainted with current legislation of waste management, especially with waste catalogue, waste hierarchy and the Waste directive. In the next section, students learn the up-to-date methods for waste removal and recovery. A large part of the course is devoted to recent developments in the Czech waste management and to experience from countries with advanced waste management.
