Work Experience: Sports Events

The aim of the subject is to gain an understanding of the organization of sports events both in the sports environment and in the social sphere, i.e. how to look for the possibilities for the organization of sports events, produce projects for sports events which also include organization of the economic and organizational aspects, and search for capable co-workers. Students will learn how to advertise events and know the consequences of advertising during the organization of a sports event. The subject deals with the organization of a sports event itself, and the evaluation of the organization of a sports event.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Students will be acquainted with the issues related to the organization of sports events. In practice, they will learn how to organize and manage an event, and create an organizational team of co-workers. Students will get to know the principles of team work, including the arrangement of advertising.

During this use the theoretical knowledge and practical activities from ther studies.

Exercises promote the practical mastery of subject presented in lectures or assigned for individual study with the active participation of students.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Credit:
The graded credit requirements: active participation in the inaugural seminar, completion of the practice with written confirmation of the workplace in the range of 44.0 hours and to submit a paper of 15 pages.

The final exam and the final evaluation of the course:
Graded credit consists of participation in the introductory seminar (20%), completion of the practice in the range of 44.0 hours with confirmation (30%) and individual work tasks (50%). The total possible points: 100, the classification is as follows:
A 100 - 90 1
B 89 - 80 1,5
C 79 - 70 2
D 69 - 60 2,5
E 59 - 50 3
F 49 - 0 4
