Course detail

Mathematic Analysis 1

FP-Vma1PAcad. year: 2017/2018

Students of Mathematical Methods in Economics specialization get familiar with the fundamental concepts of differential and integral calculus of functions in one real variable. The acquired knowledge is a starting point for further study of mathematical analysis and is also a prerequisite for study of economics and theoretical technical disciplines as well as for practical solving of problems in these disciplines.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

The course is lectured through lessons supported by exercises. The content of lessons is focused on a theoretical background of the subject. The exercises have a practical/computational character.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Credit: active attendance at the exercises class, successful passing through two written tests (from each of them recieving at least one half of all possible points).
Exam: will have both a written part as well as an oral part, the classification will take into account the results from exercises.
