Developing knowledge about the human body and its parts. Morphology of the head, torso, upper and lower limbs.
Understanding the movement of the human figure.
Developing knowledge in study of contour, line and tone drawing of an act.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

The student masters study and an expressive drawing of the human figure with an emphasis on the formal aspects of the drawing.
The student handles the composion of placing the figure in the format.
The student can „build“ the figure.
The student knows proportions of the human body.
The student knows the plastic anatomy of the human body

Prerequisites

Students have to have basic orientation in the human anatomy terminology as well as in morphology and antropology.
The have to be acquainted with the elements of linear perspective.
They have to be familiar with art history and be able to respond to the given examples from art history.

Presentation of completed works.

Course curriculum

The elementary drawing habits and the "hygiene" of drawing: distance from the life model, the laterality
of the drawer, the angle of view, the measurement, horizon and perspective distortion.
Characteristics of various drawing materials and their use with respect to the format, as well as the way
of working with them. All in order to successfully and efficiently master the human drawing.

Aims

The human body is an exclusive subject of study in the lessons of evening drawing.
The aim is knowledge about the physique, proportions, plastic and dynamic anatomy of the human body that the student acquires through the drawing of a nude model.
Students will also acquire drawing skills and practices that lead to the successful and effective mastering
of human drawing.
