Specialized Project I

Elaboration of applications of theoretical knowledge in building services specializations for given building. Study of literature, standards and regulations. Collection of inputs for theory application. Evaluation of inputs with computer programs. Conceptual processing of theoretical design and its processing in the project for building realization. Presentation of results.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

The students will acquire the ability of technical design of chosen building technical system (plumbing systems, heating, air conditioning, cooling, electrical installation) or assessment of energy performance of building.
They extend their knowledge about design of individual components environmental engineering systems, they learn to use electronic catalogues, design programs and increase their skills using programs for graphical modelings in 2D or 3D. The students increase their presentation skills.

Prerequisites

Indoor climate, plumbing systems, heating, air conditioning on the level of subjects in 2. and 3. grade of bachelor´s study.

Co-requisites

Simultaneously is necessary to study 3 compulsory optional subjects from the offer institute of technical building equipment.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

The course is taught through practical classes and self-study assignments. Attendance at practical classes is compulsory.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Continuously develop project of chosen specialization on the specified building and submit solution for consultations.
Submit processed project and presentation of solution in the credit week.

Course curriculum

1. Inputs and specification of realy structure project or problem.
2.-12. Elaboration of part of project with building services specialization. Consultions and corrections.
13. Presemtation, discussion and defence of project. Conclusion of project.

Knowledge and skills in the area of project planning of environmental systems. Cooperation and coordination of the building part and building services part.
