Learning outcomes of the course unit

Students will learn how to elaborate construction technology project for the contractor. Based on the results of construction technology study, he/she will be able to organize the stages of construction, propose the requirements for sources and state the expected construction duration. He/she will learn to elaborate the documentation for implementation of technological stages of construction. Namely, management of construction organization for the assigned technological stage, stage time schedule, qualitative and safety requirements of a stage process

Prerequisites

Basic knowledge of proposing and designing building constructions, road structures and underground utilities. Knowledge of carrying out specific parts of construction processes, of requirements for their readiness before implementation, technological procedure principles of individual construction processes, their sequence and continuity, requirements for their quality. Using computer technology for technological and time structure modelling of a specific construction process, production area and necessary implementation sources modelling.

Co-requisites

Gradually gaining concurrent knowledge from the field of construction processes and machinery equipment, using the construction computer programmes and knowledge of quality control on the site.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Tuition consists of regular consultation sessions with the teacher , independent elaboration of assigned parts of a project documentation and presenting elaborated parts of the project.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

The requirements for successful course completion are compulsory attendance of the seminar, regular consultations of work progress at given parts of the construction technology study or technological stage of the project which is being dealt with within the student´s bachelor thesis.
