Learning outcomes of the course unit

Students will acquire basic knowledge about sanitation installations and gas installations that need a specialist in this field. Student will use this knowledge in the process of bachelor thesis and subsequent practice. Students will acquire basic knowledge especially on hydraulics drainage, facilities for wastewater pretreatment, retention tanks, infiltration systems, rain water harvesting, water pipe sizing, designing hot water, fire water, pumping equipment, gas service pipes, domestic and industrial pipelines, pressure stations and distribution of LPG, pressure regulators and gas meters.

Prerequisites

Basic knowledge about building constructions. Basic knowledge about drainage systems, water installations and gas pipeworks inside buildings.

Co-requisites

Subject partly related to the subject BP55 "Municipal Technical Equipment Networks" that students receive the same grade.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Teaching methods depend on the type of course unit as specified in the article 7 of BUT Rules for Studies and Examinations. The lectures are given an interpretation problems and model solutions. In practice, students address topics presented on the given building (design, calculations).

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Conditions for successful completion of the course are attendance, submission of assigned projects and calculations and pass the exam.
