Learning outcomes of the course unit

Student will accomplish the aim of the course, which is: mastering the rules of pronunciation to the extent of 500 words and basic grammar for speaking in the Present Tense.
Reading skills, translating a simple text, communication of simple information.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Grammar and vocabulary is practised in an ineractive way, with emphasis on conversation. Development of communication and listening skills usány interactive audio-visual technologies.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

To be able to get their credits, students need to attend classes regulary (max. 3 absences/semester), do homewokr and actively participate in the lesson.

Course curriculum

1. UO: alphabet, pronunciation, stress, masculine and feminine gender,
2. U0: plural of nouns and adjectives, definite article; introducing, greeting, nationalities.
3. U0: cardinal numbers 1-30, double consonants.
4. U1: present tense of three verbal groups; telephoning.
5. U1: indefinite article; writing an email, giving information.
6. U1: polite form; description of appearance and character, towns and countries in Italy.
7. U2: irregular verbs; leisure time, inviting
8. U2: irregular verbs, cardinal numbers 30-2000; adress, my flat
9. U2: modal verbs, prepositions, days of the week, hours and minutes, means of transport.
10. U3: prepositions with definite article; writing a letter, post office.
11. U3: partitive article, location of objects.
12. U3: possessive pronouns, numbers 1000-1000000; months, seasons, telephoning in Italy
