Pronunciation: French phonetic system, stress, intonation, linking
Grammar: articles, present tense of 1st verb group, making negative forms and questions, making plural forms of nouns and adjectives, personal, demonstrative and possessive pronouns, imperative.
Vocabulary: introducing, description of person and objects, place of objects, orientation in the town, time, date, numbers 1-1OOO, shopping, clothes

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Student will accomplish the aim of the course, which is: mastering the rules of pronunciation to the extent of 500 words and basic grammar for speaking in the Present Tense.
Reading skills, translating a simple text, communication of simple information.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods


Grammar and vocabulary is practised in an ineractive way, with emphasis on conversation. Development of communication and listening skills using interactive audio-visual technologies.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

To be able to get their credits, students need to attend classes regulary (max. 3 absences/semester), do homework and actively participate in the lessons.

2. Bienvenue- masculine and feminine gender, verb "to be", question; greeting, introducing
3.Rencontre- definite article, gender of nouns and adjectives, prepositions (countries, towns)
4. ca va bien?- possessive pronouns, indefinite article, question; adress, age, phone number, numbers 10-20
5. Correspondance- hobbies, writing an email
6.Passe-temps- plural of articles and nouns, prepositions, question, "il y a", description and location of objects
7. Portrait-robot- personal pronouns, negative form, accord of nouns and adjectives; description of person and clothes
8. Boutique.net- demonstrative pronouns, interrogative pronouns, question; shopping
9. Le coin des artistes
10. Appartement a louer- in the town, my flat
11. Pour aller au Louvre- imperative; means of transport
12. Voyages, voyages- pronoun "on"; travelling, cardinal points
13. Week-end a la mer- revision L9-L12
