The course is concerned with the development of fine art, architecture and arts and crafts and in Modern times. Renaissance, Baroque and Rococo styles (from the 15th century to the 18th century).

Basic information about the history of visual art in Renaissance, Baroque, and Rococo.

Prerequisites

Development of visual arts and arts and crafts from the beginnings till the 14th century (see the "History of visual art I" course).

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Teaching methods depend on the type of course unit as specified in the article 7 of BUT Rules for Studies and Examinations.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

The exam verifies global orientation and knowledge of the development in visual art of given period and relationship to the previous development and to the present. The exam is combined: written test and an oral exam. According to the article No. 13 of Study and Examination Rules of Brno University of Technology ECTS evaluation degree scale is used. The course is evaluated with the following grades: ECTS EVALUATION DEGREES / PTS. RATING / NUMERIC RATING: A / 100 - 90 / 1 / Excellent; B /89 - 80 / 1,5 / Very good; C / 79 - 70 / 2 / Good; D / 69 - 60 / Satisfactory; E / 59 - 50 / Sufficient; F / 49 - 0 / 4 / Failed.
