Original Abstract

Stress – strain conditions in a surface layer of a roll play essential role in durability and wear of roll surface in hot rolling. In principal, there are thermal and mechanical sources of load. The paper presents numerical model using both loads. Boundary conditions into numerical model are gained from laboratory and plant measurement.
