Original Abstract

A description of a new development results in the field of a synchronous car starter-generator is introduced in this paper. The required parameters of the starter-generator are defined. The system consists of a synchronous permanent magnets EC-machine placed directly on the crankshaft of the combustion engine, DC/AC converter for the start regime, DC/DC converter for the generator regime and electronic control circuits. Some measurement results of a newly constructed and improved synchronous machine are presented.
