Original Abstract

Registration of multimodal images of retina is essential for correct diagnosis of the optic nerve head and retina. For reliable vessel segmentation, it is also important to use information from both, colour photographs and Heidelberg Retina Tomograph (HRT) scans. Mutual information was tested as a coincidence measure and has proven functional and reliable. This paper compares several methods for finding the correct transformation parameters.

Registrace multimodálních obrazů sítnice je zásadním problémem pro provedení následné analýzy optického nervu a sítnice. Také pro spolehlivou segmentaci cév je vhodné využít informaci z barevné fotografie sítnice a současně ze skenů vytvořených pomocí konfokálního laserového oftalmoskopu (HRT). Jako měřítko podobnosti je testována vzájemná informace a je ukázáno, že je pro tento případ registrace se metoda jeví jako funkční a spolehlivá. Registrace využívající vzájemné informace je dále provedena s využitím různých optimalizačních technik.
