Original Abstract

The quality of service (QoS) for trunked radio networks is currently being defined. The research work for a QoS specification includes a measurement, which is described in this paper. The paper deals with the foundation of an orientational value for the outage thresholds. The outage threshold is used for the availability function evaluation. This function decides if a service is available or unavailable. A trunked radio network measurement was made in order to find the value for the outage thresholds. The data measured were analyzed and an orientational value was evaluated. This value will be used to specifying the final value of the outage threshold.
