Original Abstract

The paper presented deals with a methology for optimization of the design rainfalls for the needs of urban drainage, by means of Genetic Algorithms (GA). This new approach is based on processing tens of actual events from a historical series of rain data in the form of a catalogue which will consest of several chategories of characteristic rains.
