Original Abstract

Recently many chemical sensor applications use the thin film technology. Electrode system has had a comb structure. These systems are called interdigitated electrodes (IDES). Measurement of frequency characteristics is not possible without correction of cell constant, which is different of the real cell constant. Results of our current research show many problems with the behavioural of chemical cells if the electrode distance is decreased below 1 mm. Our work is based on modelling of cell behaviour close to electrode and a potential distribution on electrodes.
