Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI) utilising the Blood-Oxygenation-Level-Dependent (BOLD) effect as a indicator of local activity is a very useful technique to identify brain regions that are active during perception, cognition, action, and also during rest. Currently, there is a growing interest to study connectivity between different brain regions, particularly in the resting-state.

Funkční magnetická rezonance využívající závislost na stupni okysličení krve jako indikátoru lokální aktivity je velmi užitečnou technikou sloužící k identifikaci mozkových oblastí, které jsou aktivní během vnímání, poznání, akce a také během odpočinku. V dnešní době je vzrůstající zájem o studium konektivity mezi různými oblastmi mozku, hlavně v tzv. klidovém stavu.
