Original Abstract

Failures of 13th storage precast panel building caused by non-uniform settlement are described. A northern half of building was based on the consolidated sands, other part was based on the mound embankment and clays. The maximum settlement difference was 35 mm. The maintenance was made by external prestressing (in the perpendicularly direction to the load bearing panels) and fixation with steel activated bars (in the direction load bearing panels). Making of stiffening was made only in a few storages according to detailed static solution with finite element method. Poruchy 13 podlažního objektu způsobené nerovnoměrným sedáním a způsoby jejich sanace jsou popsány.
