Original Abstract

Results of two types of tests of both beams strengthened by CFRP strips are presented. The additional reinforcement was applied on both non-cracked and cracked beams. The test results were then compared with computatened results. Based on the experimental results a design algorithm for the strengthening was established (Štěpánek, 1998, 1999) according to the Czech standard ČSN 731201 (1986).
