Original Abstract

The Galerkin method is proposed as an error reducing technique for evaluation of the field intensity at electrode nodes in the potential FEM postprocessor program. General formulas are derived, which can be used in both 2D and 3D programs. The formulas are implemented into a program and some results are compared to that obtained from two professional programs. It is shown, that applying the proposed method, the accuracy is significantly improved. Some dependency of the accuracy on the FEM grid periodicity and shape is observed.
