Skriptum se zabývá popisem struktur datových sítí, jejich vlastnostmi a využitím. Dále je zde popsán referenční model OSI, kde jsou podrobně rozebrány jednotlivé protokolové vrstvy. Je zde uveden i popis nejpoužívanějších protokolů. Skriptum podává ucelený přehled o principech komunikace v datových sítích.

English abstract

This textbook deals with description of data network struktures, their properties and applications. Futher, there is introduced the OSI model with network layers. The most uses protocols are included there as well. The textbook oulines integrated overview of communication principles on data networks.
