Original Abstract

Modern bridge structures are designed in combination of precast and in-situ concrete, from steel, prestressing tendons and stays. Design of these systems utilises the characteristics of individual materials - for steel it is very high tensile strength, precision of manufacturing and short time of asssembly, for precast concrete it is its high quality and simple assembly and for in-situ concrete it is especially continuity and monolithness.
