Prognózy dalšího vývoje postavení fyziky v inženýrském vzdělávání nejsou snadné, neboť v současné době prochází velkými změnami celý vzdělávací systém, a to jak jeho forma, tak i obsah. Snahy o redukci hodin fyziky, které se objevují na některých vysokých školách technických (VŠT), je potřeba odmítnout - není na škodu připomenout si, že vývoj techniky závisel většinou na pokroku fyziky samé. Před fyziky stojí v současnosti velký úkol: znovu vymezit obsah a rozsah výuky fyziky, a to na všech typech škol a tuto koncepci pak v diskusi s kompetentními místy umět obhájit a prosadit.

It is not without difficulty to make a prognosis about the future place of physics in the frame of engineer education. The whole education system, its form and contents, are changing at the present time a lot. It is necessary to deny those activities appeared at some of our technical universities, that tend to the reduction of the physics lessons. We would like to mention, that the development of the technique depends mostly on the progress of the physics as itself. There is a big task for the physics to define again the contents and capacity of the physics lesson at all school types. The new conception has to be defended and pushed through in a discussion with the competent places.
