Original Abstract

The H.323 standard offers bases for voice, video and data communication over networks based on the IP protocol, including the Internet. Assimilation to the H.323 allows users of application from various vendors to communicate without knowing anything about their mutual compability. In case of a connection to other network is needed (i.e. a terminal does not communicate with another terminal in the same network) an H.323 gateway has to be used. The paper deals with proposing the H.323 gateway that will allow establishing a connection between H.323 and a radio network. The proposed communication system describes the possibilities of voice and data transmition between a LAN (Local Area Network) and a radio network.
