Original Abstract

Low-level features of an image can be used for various types of object recognition. In this paper, the methods for water areas recognition are described. Combinations of various low-level features have been tested and are introduced in the first part of this paper. All the low-level features are acquired from selected pixels of the image. After low-level features are acquired, the evolutionary algorithms must be used. The low-level features are used as the input variables for evolutionary algorithms. Hundred images have been used for testing of the proposed algorithms. The final part of this paper consists of results from testing of the proposed algorithms.
