Original Abstract

The subject of analysis was a spherical-roller bearing which had to be dividet into halves by using of electrospark erosion. On the cutting surfaces of the rings defects were found. On the basis of microfractographic analysis was possible to arrive at a definite assumption that this was one of clasical manifestation of hydrogen embrittlement(delayed fracture) resulting from the combined effect of hydrogenation of subsurface layers during electroerosion and residual stress
