Original Abstract

The dust collecting system in most power plants and heating plants in the Czech Republic is performed by dry collecting methods. Great central mixing plants for the production of fly ash stabilizers were developed in the same time. The basic raw materials used in the in the production of stabilizers are fly ashes, products of desulphurization and in some cases slag and mostly even binders (cement, lime). Up to date machinery and equipment was developed for this purpose and the mixing plants dispose with high technology equipments. The technical parameters of the machinery are presented. The fly ash stabilizers can be produced in different forms (liquids, pastes, optimally moistened) in dependence on the method of application. Good results were achieved with fly ash stabilizers for building of dense, earth, bearing structures, for filling of underground spaces, as substitute of sewage conduit thrust blocks, etc. The fly ash stabilizers can be widely used in building of roads, parking sites and lay bys. The physical and chemical properties of stabilizers from selected sources and their utilization are presented in details.
