English abstract

This contribution describes the application of the theoretical solution of optimisation of reinforcement design in RC frame structures (see [2]). The optimisation is formulated as searching for minimum volume of longitudinal reinforcement designed for the whole load bearing structure. On the basis of the theory described in [2] the computer program OPTIM has been set up. Two examples of the solution (continuous beam and frame structure) are presented. Some influences of input parameters) type of reinforcement, minimal and maximal cross sectional areas of reinforcement, location of cross sections with checking the limit states) on the results of optimum design of reinforcement are demonstrated.
